1. Dia de Los Muertos Mercado: October 28-29, 2023

When: Saturday, October 28 & Sunday, October 29, 2023 Where: San Diego Avenue and Harney Street Time: Sat: 10am-5:30pm, Sun: 10am-4:30pm
Get ready for an enchanting weekend at the Dia de Los Muertos Mercado! On Saturday, October 28, and Sunday, October 29, San Diego Avenue and Harney Street will be transformed into a cultural extravaganza. This event will feature an array of amazing art and crafts, and there will be something for every member of your family to enjoy.

- Local artisans showcasing unique crafts
- Traditional Dia de Los Muertos art
- A variety of delicious food vendors
- Fun activities for kids
- Live entertainment

2. Halloween Celebration: October 31, 2023
When: Tuesday, October 31 Time: Kick off in the morning!
Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, but that won't stop our community from having a spooky good time! On Halloween day, join us for a day full of thrilling activities, including a Halloween Parade and a Costume Contest.
Events:
- Halloween Parade: Watch or join the Halloween Parade and be amazed by the creative costumes on display!
- Costume Contest: Show off your Halloween costume and win fantastic prizes.
- Door Decorating Contest: Keep an eye out for spooky entrances!
Get your costumes ready, and let's make this Halloween memorable and fun for everyone in OTA!
3. Dia de los Muertos - Community Event: November 2, 2023
When: Thursday, November 2, 2023 Time: Procession kicks off around 6/6:30pm
Historic Old Town's beloved Dia de los Muertos tradition continues with the annual candlelit procession on Thursday, November 2, 2023. This free community event, which draws over 5,000 visitors, is a profound and beautiful way to honor and remember our loved ones. And this year OTA is invited to participate! Middle School will be leading the charge. If you and your class want to join in, please attend with parents in tow. Wear your Osprey Pride and see the event details for recommendations on face painting if you want to get really festive!
Event Details:
- Starting Point: The procession will begin at sundown in front of the Immaculate Conception Church, located at San Diego Ave and Twiggs St. (about 6pm)
- Route: The procession will travel down San Diego Ave to El Campo Santo.
- Atmosphere: Expect a mesmerizing display of candles, traditional attire, and heartfelt remembrances.
Join us for this touching cultural event and pay your respects to those who have gone before us.
